Hi all you readers!! I have three favors to ask you.
1) We would like to find out who/how many people are following us. As far as I know, all you need to do to follow us is put your email in the address box to the right, but we aren't sure if it works. If you are getting this blog update through an email that you have signed up with, please post below saying that it is working.
2) We are in crunch time!! We are flying out in 3 WEEKS!!!! but as of right now, we don't have any preplanned houses to stay at. This is fine, we are planning on spending most nights camping. However, we would really appreciate having a home to spend a night in, taking a real shower, eating a home cooked meal, and sleeping on a real bed. If you could look at the map that Dave posted on one of the earlier blogs, please see if you have family, friends, friends of friends, or any connection you have along this route. If so, please email me their contact information and we would love to get in contact with them. (tgarrigan280@andersonuniversity.edu)
3) PRAY!! Thank you for all of your generosity and support, we have received much aid financially, as well as moral support from people and I cannot begin to thank you enough. You have blessed us tremendously, and I know God doesn't over look it. He will bless yall for all you do for us, more than you have blessed us.. As we wrap up loose ends though, I want to continue to encourage you to not stop praying for us! We still need to get out there in one piece, with all of our equipment, and stay physically fit, mentally active, spiritually dependent, emotionally strong, and financially provided for. Thank you in advance for all your prayers!!
I cannot explain how excited I am getting for this trip. As school winds down, this trip is picking up. I am looking forward to seeing this country in an amazing way, and seeing all the different areas of creation that are held along the way.
We will keep you posted on our progress. Thanks again for posting to let us know if the email alert system is working or not, letting me know about any potential homes to stay in, and for all your continued prayers!!!
Sincere love from an excited boy,
Tommy G
(On a side note, I finally started training!! I could not begin until yesterday (Monday the 13th) due to the fact that I was in the middle of Track. But now I'm done, and I'm hitting the riding hard. I have two and a half weeks to train until we have to ship our bikes out..... SO...... LOOK OUT ROCKIES, HERE I COME!!!!)
This is awesome!!! I am so excited for you guys and can't wait to read all about your adventures. You will continue to be in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteHey Garrigans, my name is Greg and I just graduated from Clemson. Found your blog through a friend, and I was fully intrigued because I am an avid cyclist myself! (road, mountain, downhill etc). I've always wanted to do long rides like you guys are planning, but have never found the right group of people to do it with. I'll actually be attending University of Oregon in the fall, so I'm sure I'll find some worthy friends out there to ride with.
ReplyDeleteI've been blogging for about 2.5 years, about everything under the sun, my thoughts, experiences, travels etc. I'm excited to be a part of your journey -- and maybe live vicariously through your adventures. May even ask you for the route at the end of it all if you thought it was a good one!
Finally I didn't follow through the email button but rather through Blogger and GFC (Google Friend Connect). I'll think around to people that might be in your travels and see if I might be able to find you a hot shower, roof over your head and some homecooked food!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about your adventures! There is so much to marvel at through God's works, including the diversity and beauty he provides through our experiences in nature. This is a wonderful bonding experience for a wonderful cause. Have fun, be safe, and GROW!! Your parents are so proud of you, your accomplishments, and efforts. It's contagious!: ),
