Colorful Colorado

Colorado is beautiful. Undeniably. We take as best pictures as we can but it just doesn't do it justice.

So last night we had the choice of camping in a tent site or for $12 get a cabin. Easy easy choice. So as you can imagine waking up took a bit longer this morning. It was wonderful.

We have hit some big mileage getting roughly 260 miles in three days. So good, and I am super encouraged by it because now our goal to get home by the 31st seems more attainable. We will see what The Lord has in store for these next few weeks.

There are few things I have experienced that give me a sense of accomplishment and relief as reaching the summit of a climb. And we hit the big one today!

 11,312 feet, Our last big climb of the Rockies! I can't tell you how happy we were reaching that summit. We stayed up there for a bit and met back up with our friend Tom who we met last night.

Tom has been an inspiration to me. Age will never be an excuse for me not to have big dreams and set big goals and continue living life to its fullest. In his 60's going across the country on a bike! He conquered Monarch pass just like us young bucks. 'Age is but a number'

Well we did a lot of biking for the rest of the day, haha. We got chased by a storm, we got dumped on by the storm, then our road took a different direction to evade the remainder of the storm. The sky was split in two, one side was dark dark blue, while the other side was bright and sunny. We saw rainbows, beams of light coming out from the darkness, and lots of lightening. It's a whole different experience on a bike than sitting in a car. It was in all senses of the word, awesome!

Tonight we have pitched a tent in the middle of a bluegrass convention going on in westcliff, Colorado haha. We fit right in, don't worry. With our biker attire and distinct odor we are just part of the culture here tonight. Haha Alright, so maybe not but hey we are enjoying it. Bluegrass ain't too bad, y'all.

Tomorrow= Pueblo, Co.
Pueblo=out of Rockies
Out of Rockies=celebrate good times!

It will be a great day. Time for me to catch some zzz's. Jesus thank you for the gift of life today. May we never take it for granted.

James 4:14.
